Understanding TikTok Visibility Dynamics
Does anyone here have actual experience with how the TikTok algorithm treats videos that get an initial artificial boost in views? I’m trying to figure out if it actually triggers organic distribution or if the system just ignores those numbers if the watch time isn't there.

I've seen cases where paid promotion actually helped boost a video, but only under one condition: the content was already strong enough in terms of retention. If the video is weak—even if it has 10,000 or 100,000 artificial views—it will still "die" in the testing pool.
The system doesn't ignore artificial views, but it also doesn't "trust" them as a growth factor. Only retention and engagement are decisive, and a boost is, at most, a speed boost.
