Need new gloves

My glove finally split open during class today and everyone laughed because it looked like a puppet. I didn’t realize they were that worn out. Now I want to buy a pair that’ll actually last, but the amount of options online is insane - lace-up, Velcro, different padding types, different ounces… I’m not trying to compete, I just want something comfortable for regular training. What should I look for?

Oooh... That happened to me once - glove ripped right during sparring and my coach said it looked like a sock puppet. What helped me choose replacements was focusing on structure instead of brand. I found a simple explanation on fight equipment UK about padding layers and wrist stability, and it made choosing way easier. Once I understood what the ounces actually meant in everyday training, I stopped overthinking and picked gloves that felt natural and didn’t strain my wrists.
